Is there a difference between calcium chloride and calcium hydrochloride and “calcium hypochlorite”?

There really isn't such a thing as calcium hydrochloride (CaHCl) although you will find references to calcium hydrochloride on the web either being mistranslations from other languages or just misspellings of “calcium hypochlorite” (Cal Hypo; Ca(OCl)2) which we sell as a sterilizing agent for municipal, industrial and agricultural applications.

Calcium chloride dihydrate however is calcium chloride with 2 water molecules in the crystal structure, this is normally sold in the grocery for laundry care or pool stores as a less reliable sterilizer for pools.
